  1. Richard Branson: Swims early in the morning or kite surfs, then he proceeds for a healthy breakfast. Company: Virgin, “I leave the curtains undrawn and the sun comes up at 5:45 a.m. and straight in my eyes. I love bouncing up early”
  2. Warren Buffet: CEO of Berkshire Hathaway- Advocates reading 500 pages a day because that’s how knowledge builds up like a compound interest; still lives in a modest house he bought 40 years ago and is disconnect from social media. “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to ruin it. If you think about it that way, you will do things differently”
  3. Steve Jobs- Apple- Would start his day with an honest question in the mirror; he also advocated minimalism from furnishing his house to clothes he wore. “I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today? And whenever the answer has been NO for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something
  4. Arianna Huffington- Journalist & Entrepreneur- Starts her day with 30 minutes of meditation after receiving enough beauty sleep- “Its time to sleep your way to the top”
  5. Bill Gates-Starts his day by working out on treadmill for an hour while he watches the courses from Teaching Company. “Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose”
  6. Mark Zuckerberg-Co-founder of Facebook- Rises at 8 A.M. Unless he has been working entire night, wears the same T shirt every day to avoid making extra decision. “I am here to build something long-term. Anything else is distraction”
  7. Oprah Winfrey- Starts her day meditating, then she hits the treadmill and has a healthy meal afterwards, and she goes to work as early as possible so that she could record two shows in the morning. “Be thankful for what you have, you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you do not have, you will never have enough”
  8. Elon Musk-Often skips breakfast, wolfs down his lunch in a 5 minute span during a meeting, exercises one or two times a day. “ Constantly think about how you could be doing better and keep questioning yourself”
  9. Indra Nooyi-Wakes up as early as 4 a.m. and arrives in office no later than 7.00 a.m. “They say Sleep is a gift that God gives you… That’s one gift I was never given”
  10. Lord Sugar-Entrepreneur, celebrity, author, politician- Likes to ride his bike for 50 miles in the Essex countryside. “If you enjoy what you do, do not be afraid to spread your enthusiasm. Enjoyment is infectious”
  11. Jeff Bezos-Sleeps 8 hours a day, even has a sleeping bag in his office, avoids early meetings, has protective days e.g. Tuesdays & Thursdays when he tries not to schedule meetings. “Every day is a Day One”
  12. Sergey Brin- Google. Exercises intensely and drinks green tea two times a day to decrease chances of getting Parkinson disease “ Solving big problems is easier than solving Little problems”
  13. Jack Ma-Starts his day exercising and his tai chi trainer travels with him when necessary; sometimes he will perform as a rock star at concerts for his employees. “ Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse and the day after tomorrow will be sunshine”
  14. Marissa Mayer- Sleeps between 4-6 hours and is fiercely focused on productivity because there are 130 working hours in a week,“ If you can find something that you are truly passionate about, whether you are a man or a woman comes a lot less into play. Passion is a gender neutralizing force.
  15. Tory Burch- Fashion Designer, Chairman & CEO at Tory Burch LLC-Wakes up at 5:45 then wakes up her three sons and then exercises for 45 minutes. “ if it does not scare you, you are probably not dreaming big enough’
  16. Jack Dorsey- CEO of Twitter- Gets up at 5:30 to meditate, then runs several miles. ‘The only way to do it, is to be very disciplined and very practiced.
